Antique Nihonto Katana Signed by Masanobu NBTHK TOKUBETSU HOZON TOKEN Certificate
Authentic Nihontō Japanese Sword Katana Signed by Tosa no kami Fujiwara Masanobu 土佐守藤原正信 NBTHK TOKUBETSU HOZON TOKEN Certificate
Hirai family. Asaka Gan'uemon. Fuchu resident. In the 9th year of Kyōhō (1724), he moved to Yamato Koriyama with Yanagisawa Yoshisato and became Tosa no Kami.
This sword has a robust blade width and thickness, with a well-forged ko-itame hada and thick ji-nie, resulting in a beautiful jigane. The hamon is a bright and clear nioiguchi with a soft appearance, featuring gunome and gunome-choji patterns.
Currently, there are amateur rust removal marks near the habaki on the ura side and a small nick in the central part of the blade. However, as it has been issued a Tokubetsu Hozon Token certificate, the clarity of the jigane is remarkable. It is offered at an affordable price considering the need for re-polishing, so do not miss this opportunity to acquire a fine blade by Masanobu.
Bare weight: 706 grams.
