Katana Sakura Nocturne T10 Clay Tempered Blade with Sanbonsugi Hamon | KSA Huo
KSA “Huo” Series Katana – Sakura Nocturne | Hand-Forged T10 High Carbon Blade | Clay Tempered with Real Hamon | Full Tang | Sashikomi Polish | Hand-Fitted Fittings | Genuine Rayskin | Authentic Kissaki Geometry | Premium Lacquered Saya | Tight-Fitted Tsuka Core | Cutting Practice Ready
Sakura Nocturne is a katana from the Huo Series, defined by quiet elegance, natural rhythm, and restrained strength. Forged from T10 high-carbon steel in traditional Maru-zukuri construction, the blade emphasizes purity of form, structural clarity, and a balanced, responsive feel—suited for both disciplined practice and refined display.
The blade is clay tempered, revealing a distinct and flowing Sanbonsugi hamon—a repeating three-peaked pattern that evokes the cadence of mountain ridgelines. This rhythmic temper line reflects precise thermal control and skilled craftsmanship. Finished in a clean sashikomi-style polish, the surface remains subtle and natural, allowing the hamon’s organic movement to emerge without artificial contrast.
The koshirae is centered around a round black iron tsuba with delicate sakura openwork, symbolizing transience and quiet beauty. The fuchi and kashira, crafted from white copper, are engraved with matching cherry blossom motifs, reinforcing a cohesive seasonal theme. A brass habaki secures the blade with reliability while adding a warm tonal accent.
The tsuka features deep brown ito wrapped over genuine white samegawa, creating a balanced contrast between warmth and purity. The grip is firm, tactile, and comfortable in extended handling. The saya is finished in a brown Ishime lacquer, its stone-textured surface offering a grounded, understated aesthetic. A matching brown sageo completes the mount, maintaining tonal harmony throughout.
Sakura Nocturne is not a blade of ostentation. It embodies stillness, repetition, and seasonal grace—an expression of controlled craftsmanship and quiet presence, ideal for practitioners and collectors who value subtlety, balance, and enduring refinement.
