Katana SutraCurrent T10 Clay Tempered Blade with Choji Hamon | KSA Huo
KSA “Huo” Series Katana – SutraCurrent | Hand-Forged T10 High Carbon Blade | Clay Tempered with Real Hamon | Full Tang | Sashikomi Polish | Hand-Fitted Fittings | Genuine Rayskin | Authentic Kissaki Geometry | Premium Lacquered Saya | Tight-Fitted Tsuka Core | Cutting Practice Ready
SutraCurrent is a katana from the Huo Series, defined by continuity, discipline, and restrained power. Forged from T10 high-carbon steel in Maru-zukuri construction, the blade emphasizes structural consistency, balanced handling, and clean geometry, making it suitable for both martial arts practice and refined display.
The blade is clay tempered, revealing a flowing choji hamon formed through controlled heat application and precise edge development. The rhythmic rise and fall of the hamon evokes movement guided by order rather than chaos. The polished surface remains understated, allowing the hamon’s character to emerge naturally without visual excess. In motion, the blade tracks smoothly and responds with measured feedback, favoring control and stability.
The koshirae is fitted with a blackened iron tsuba featuring Nine Syllable openwork, symbolizing protection, focus, and disciplined intent. A white copper fuchi-kashira carved with wave and dragon motifs introduces layered meaning—strength carried within flow. A brass habaki secures the blade firmly, adding a subtle warmth that balances the darker tones of the mount.
The tsuka is wrapped in brown ito over genuine black samegawa, offering a firm and composed grip. The saya is finished in a black high-gloss lacquer, presenting a smooth, reflective surface that complements the blade’s refined lines. A matching brown sageo completes the mount, maintaining visual coherence and tonal restraint.
SutraCurrent is shaped not by force alone, but by continuity and intent. Calm, deliberate, and enduring, it reflects a philosophy where movement follows principle—well suited for practitioners and collectors who value discipline, depth, and lasting form.
