Wooden Katana Lieyang Sunburst 裂陽
Bold, noble, and rich in symbolism, Lieyang (裂阳), meaning “Sunburst,” is a full-tang handcrafted wooden katana that channels the spirit of strength and awakening. Designed for traditional training or refined display, this sword combines functional balance with striking aesthetic detail.
The blade is made from natural hardwood, shaped with a full curve and a single groove for added realism. The deep maroon cord wrapping, black handle core (tsuka base), and gold menuki create a powerful contrast, while the tsuka end cap is engraved with a warrior figure in mid-draw—an homage to the discipline and resolve of the samurai.
The tsuba is cast in a radiant fan-like design with gold tones, engraved with Japanese characters, evoking the image of a rising sun breaking through darkness. The glossy scabbard features a rich crimson base accented with golden crackle patterns, reminiscent of lightning or fractured earth—an aesthetic of raw energy.
Lieyang is a tribute to the inner fire of the martial spirit—quiet on the outside, but forged with brilliance within.
